The players were tested in damp conditions today with very few under par scores recorded. Metropolitan’s Jeneath Wong continued her good form with a neat round of 70, giving her a 3 shot lead heading into day 3 of the Avondale Bowl. Kirsten Rudgeley (Mount Lawley), Caitlin Peirce (Royal Adelaide) and Shyla Singh (Southport) are well positioned in a tie for second at even par.
Avondale’s Robyn Keen has made the cut, sitting in 12th place after carding 2 rounds in the 70’s.
NSW State Team player Andrew Richards (Pennant Hills) leads the men’s field after round 2. He shot an impressive 69 today and sits at 5 under, 2 clear of Avondale’s Jye Pickin, Tom Heaton (The Australian) and Christopher Somerfield (Brisbane).
Avondale veteran Richard Wallace has carded an excellent round of 69 to put him in a tie for 11th position. Ten Avondale men have made the cut for the final two rounds of the tournament.
Round 3 commences from 7.00am tomorrow.
